Our commitment

The Nine Club is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We're continually improving the experience for all visitors and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our goal

We're working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG is the standard published by the W3C that explains how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

We don't yet claim full conformance. The site is partially conformant, which means some parts don't fully meet the standard yet (see "Known limitations" below).

What we've done

  • Alt text: product and episode images have descriptive alternative text.
  • Labeled forms: search, size, quantity, newsletter sign-up and other form fields have labels for screen readers.
  • Skip link: a "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the menu.
  • Keyboard access: you can move through the site with a keyboard, and navigation links show a visible focus outline.
  • No autoplaying video: videos on our site don't start playing on their own.
  • Color contrast (done October 9, 2026): we improved color contrast on the announcement bar, product breadcrumbs, product stock messages, and orange buttons (which now use black text).
  • Zoom (done October 9, 2026): you can pinch to zoom on mobile.
  • Pause button (done October 9, 2026): the rotating announcement bar at the top of the page has a pause/play button.
  • Headings (done October 9, 2026): our policy pages use a proper main heading for screen readers.

How we check

We reviewed the site on October 9, 2026, using an automated accessibility checker (axe-core) and manual spot-checks of the homepage and a product page, including keyboard navigation.

Known limitations

We know about these issues and are working on them:

  • Episode captions and transcripts: auto-generated captions are available on our episodes on YouTube (turn on CC in the player). They're created automatically, so they may contain errors, and we don't review them for accuracy. We don't have official edited subtitles or transcripts yet. If you need a caption fixed or would like to help with subtitles, use our contact form.
  • Third-party apps and embeds: some parts of the site come from other companies, such as YouTube video players, Shopify checkout, our cookie banner, and search, review and email sign-up apps. These may not fully meet WCAG, and we can't always fix them ourselves. If one causes you a problem, let us know and we'll help another way.
